American Idol champ Jordin Sparks is hospitalized with acute appendicitis. Sparks underwent surgery to remove her appendix Wednesday.The 19-year-old posted a message on Twitter Thursday thanking fans for their thoughts and prayers. Sparks said she was “feeling a little better but very sore.”
Sparks says she expects to be sidelined for “the next week or so.”
